  1. Submit proposed name and purpose to RI Fellowship Contact to obtain permission to solicit sufficient charter members to file application using the words "Proposed Rotary Fellowship ???".
  2. Upon approval of name and purpose, the provisional fellowship may solicit interested Rotarian charter members from at least 3 different countries.  Ways to do this include creating a web site with the title "Proposed Rotary Fellowship ???", and publish information about the proposed fellowship on Rotary fellowship email groups such as ROTI, ICUFR, and Irwin Taranto's general Rotary email discussion group.
  3. Prepare Rotary Fellowship application including list of charter members, officers, and approval from 3 district governors in different countries.
  4. Submit the RI Fellowship Application (page 19 and 20 of the RI Fellowship Handbook plus required attachments) to RI Fellowship contact in PDF format.  After the form has been filled out and the 3 district governor approvals have been obtained on copies of page 20, the entire form including the 3 approval pages can be scanned and converted to PDF format.
  5. The RI Fellowship contact will inform the applicant if everything is in order, and if so when the application will be considered by the RI Board of Directors at their next meeting.
  6. Until the RI Board of Directors approves the fellowship, the provisional fellowship must continue to use the term "Proposed Rotary Fellowship ???" on all web pages and communications.
  7. Once the RI Board of Directors has approved the fellowship, the approved name may be used.  It is recommended that the fellowship contact the RI Newsbasket and Rotarian Magazine staff to publish an announcement.
